04 in vitro II: Department Services

The 04 in vitro II (cytology) department provides a fundamental suite of services dedicated to studying the behavior and function of living cells outside the body. This evaluation is crucial for understanding disease mechanisms, assessing drug responses, and validating the biocompatibility of biomaterials. We deploy a wide variety of state-of-the-art techniques for the detection, quantification, imaging, and functional analysis of cellular and molecular components.

Service ID Service Title Description
04.01 Molecular & Gene Expression Analysis Qualitative and quantitative analysis of nucleic acids (DNA/RNA) and proteins using PCR techniques (RT-qPCR, Digital PCR), Blotting methods (Western/Southern/Northern), and quantitative sequencing (RNA-seq).
04.02 Cellular Phenotyping & Sorting High-throughput analysis, identification, and isolation of cell populations based on surface and intracellular markers using advanced Flow Cytometry.
04.03 Cell Viability and Metabolic Assays Functional assessment of cellular health, toxicity, and metabolic activity using colorimetric and fluorescent assays (MTT, XTT, WST-1, Alamar Blue) and high-sensitivity protein quantification (ELISA, BCA, Simoa).
04.04 Proliferation, Senescence & Clonogenic Potential Quantification of cell growth rates, long-term clonogenic survival (Colony Formation, Soft Agar), and measurement of DNA synthesis using BrdU or EdU Incorporation assays.
04.05 Cell Death and Apoptosis Analysis Detection and precise quantification of programmed cell death markers, including Annexin V/PI staining, the TUNEL assay for DNA fragmentation, and Caspase activity measurement.
04.06 Motility, Invasion & Specialized Functional Assays Assessment of cell movement through Scratch Wound Healing, Transwell Migration, and Matrigel Invasion Assays. Also includes studies on angiogenic potential (Tube Formation) and Phagocytosis.
04.07 Advanced Optical & Live-Cell Imaging High-resolution visualization of molecules (Immunofluorescence), 3D optical sectioning (Confocal Microscopy), and tracking of dynamic processes in real-time using Live-Cell and Super-Resolution Microscopy (STED, TIRF).
04.08 Histopathology & Ultra-Structural Analysis Preparation, staining (H&E, PAS), and general structure analysis of tissue/cell samples. Includes ultra-high resolution imaging of cellular and material morphology using TEM, SEM, and AFM.
